Rules and Regulations of City Dump

For Residential Refuse Only

Total Cost to obtain a Dump Permit $100.00

Dump Hours:

Tuesday – 10:30am to 6:30pm
Saturday – 7:00am to 12:00pm (Noon)
(May vary due to holidays)

Must have a sticker to Dump! ~ 7 Bag Limit – One (1) Trip permitted per day

Placement of Sticker: Sticker MUST be affixed to windshield on lower corner of driver’s side in order to dump. (Grounds for Refusal if it is not affixed to the windshield in the designated location) Remove backing and use adhesive on sticker to apply to windshield. Taping, laminating and any other means of securing sticker to windshield will not be allowed.

Replacement Sticker: A portion of the original sticker must be submitted as well as pay a fee of $5.00.

RESIDENTS ARE NOT ALLOWED ON PREMISIS WHEN ATTENDENT IS NOT ON DUTY.

THE DUMP IS NOT INTENDED FOR USE BY CONTRACTORS, LANDSCAPERS, AND TREE TRIMMING SERVICE PROVIDERS.

Special Permit:
Truckloads of loose material may only be unloaded with the presentation of a Special Use Permit to the attendant on duty. Special Use Permits are obtained in the Office of the City Clerk (115 E. Prairie St. – Hours: Mon – Fri ~ 8:00am to 4:30pm) prior to the dump visit. Special Use Permit required for any mattresses, furniture, brush, yard waste, lumber and other renovation materials, etc.

One (1) Trip permitted per day – REFUSE MUST BE CONTAINED TO THE BED OF THE TRUCK OR A TRAILER, BOTH WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

Small Trailer (i.e. 5×7) $35.00

**ALL FEES MUST BE PAID BEFORE DUMPING**

Prohibited Materials:
-Shingles, batteries, tires, paint or chemical cans (unless empty and dried) are prohibited.
-Televisions, computers and appliances.
-No emptying of metal burning barrels.

City of Jerseyville is NOT responsible for items thrown away.

CITY OF JERSEYVILLE/ATTENDANT ON DUTY HAS THE RIGHT TO REFUSE ANYONE FROM DUMPING

Permits valid from May to April (full year) $100.00; November Nov 1st to April (6 months) $50.00.

MUST be affixed to windshield on the lower corner of driver’s side to dump.
